FAQ
My HERO 12 has no GPS. Can I still get a speed overlay?
Yes. The overlay data comes from your ride file, not from the camera. Any bike computer, watch, or phone app that exports FIT, GPX, or TCX gives you speed, route, and elevation overlays regardless of the GoPro model.
Does TrainCraft read the GPS telemetry embedded in GoPro video files?
No. TrainCraft takes telemetry from a synced activity or an uploaded FIT, GPX, or TCX file. For cycling this is usually richer than camera GPS: a ride file can carry power, heart rate, and cadence, which no GoPro records by itself.
Which GoPro models are supported?
Any model that produces a browser-playable video file. The camera only supplies the footage; the ride file supplies the telemetry.
